Shortly after Solo Practice University celebrated its first-year of operation in March, I spent a few days touring its virtual campus and sitting in on some of its classes. I’ve written a full review that will appear in next month’s Law Technology News. Out of fairness to my editors, I won’t publish the review here in advance. However, I’ll offer this one paragraph from the review that sums of my thoughts:

Overall, I was impressed. SPU offers a varied selection of practical courses taught by an accomplished faculty of lawyers and experts. It is thoughtfully designed and takes full advantage of Web 2.0 tools. Its subscription plans are reasonably priced and allow unlimited access to all courses and features.

The bottom line is that SPU offers fair pricing for an all-you-can-eat buffet of courses. Subscriptions start at $97 for one month, with more favorable prices for longer-term subscriptions. All classes are archived in either video or audio. So, for $97, you can go in and virtually gorge yourself on legal education. That makes trying it, at least for a month, an easy decision.
