Kate Bladow has issued a challenge to the legal community: publish one blog post in support of pro bono. As she explains at her blog Technola, Bladow is asking lawyers to pledge to publish one blog post between Oct. 24 and Oct. 30 in honor of the 2010 National Pro Bono Celebration.
Why the challenge? Last year’s National Pro Bono Celebration was a big deal, with hundreds of events across the country and hundreds of people posting messages to Twitter and Facebook, Bladow says. But only a few bloggers published posts recognizing the pro bono work of lawyers and paralegals.
If you accept the challenge, your post could be as long or as short as you want and about any aspect of pro bono you care to write about. You don’t even have to be a lawyer to sign on.
To pledge (and to see who else has pledged), follow this link to the Celebrate Pro Bono page at PledgeBank. A few days before the event begins, you’ll get an e-mail reminding you to post.
