Calling it the most substantial update in five years to the Concordance e-discovery review platform, CloudNine today released a new version 10.24 containing a package of updates that includes a new viewer, integration with CloudNine Review, and improved production performance.
Concordance has a history as one of the earliest e-discovery review tools, developed by LexisNexis in the 1980s. In 2018, CloudNine acquired Concordance from LexisNexis, along with LexisNexis’s entire line of e-discovery products.
CloudNine says this latest version “is packed with customer-requested features to improve the end-user experience” for the thousands of legal professionals who use Concordance.
New Viewer. Concordance 10.24 is updated with a new viewer to support both native and image files. The viewer features a modern user interface throughout the production and printing areas along with additional navigation options throughout. It also supports additional file types, including Microsoft Office files, Outlook MSGs, and other common file types through a near-native conversion.
Concordance clients will still be able to use the former version of the viewer for legacy cases, CloudNine says. Also, clients can choose to create new databases using either the new viewer or the legacy one.
Integration with CloudNine Review. Concordance now integrates with CloudNine Review. This means that clients using both technologies can easily move between applications and transfer data using CloudNine’s Discovery Portal (which will be officially released soon). Clients using Concordance for Quality Assurance (QA) can easily switch to CloudNine Review or vice versa. CloudNine says that its customers typically leverage hybrid data management including CloudNine Review for active matters and Concordance as an inexpensive, on-premise repository to store inactive and archived matters.
Improved Production and QA Capabilities. The updates to Concordance bring greater efficiency to e-discovery production, printing and QA, CloudNine says. Additionally, this release enables color productions, production preview and supporting transparent and opaque redactions. These performance enhancements are available for the new Concordance Viewer, Concordance Image, and Concordance Native Viewer databases.
“Concordance continues to provide our customers value as a bedrock of e-discovery technology,” said Steve Vranas, SVP of sales and strategy at CloudNine. “With the 10.24 release, CloudNine has transformed the software significantly into an efficient and useful application.”
Concordance 10.24 is a free upgrade for current customers, CloudNine says.
