Practice management company MyCase has named Arman Samani, an executive with more than two decades’ experience leading product development and innovation at high-growth SaaS companies, as its chief product and technology officer.
Samani’s experience is in building and implementing SaaS software products for businesses that serve professionals. He most recently served as chief product and strategy officer at PatientPop, where he oversaw the development and expansion of a SaaS practice growth platform for physician’s offices and the eventual merger of the company with Kareo.
Before that, he was the chief product and technology officer at AdvancedMD, where he helped grow the company’s cloud-based electronic health records, practice management, and patient engagement platform. While he was in that leadership role, the company grew from $60 million to $155 million and was successfully acquired by Global Payments
Jim McGinnis, chief executive officer of MyCase, said Samani is a proven product visionary who will help the company execute on its ambitious technology roadmap and scale its business.
“Arman’s strong leadership will drive continued innovation in the legal industry, with the end goal being to allow MyCase to continue to expand and help lawyers easily adopt and integrate the software they need to run successful thriving law firms,” McGinnis said.
“I am thrilled to join MyCase during such a transformational time in its history and am looking forward to playing a key role in supporting its continued growth,” said Samani. “I’m particularly excited to broaden our relationships with legal technology and service providers through integrations and partnerships so that we can provide the most complete and easy-to-adopt ecosystem of legal software to law firms.”
In September 2020, MyCase was sold for $193 million to private equity firm Apax Partners. Last July, this blog broke the news that MyCase had acquired CASEpeer, a case management platform for plaintiffs’ attorneys, and Woodpecker, which provides legal document automation software for solo and small law firms. Last November, it announced another acquisition, of the cloud-based legal accounting company Soluno.
