Atul Dubey has been named senior vice president and general manager of Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory U.S., effective April 1, where he will oversee a range of information and expert products for legal and business compliance professionals.
Dubey steps into the position previously held by Dean Sonderegger, who moved March 1 to become SVP and general manager of Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting Canada and Research & Learning U.S.
“It is a privilege to lead the talented team at LRUS and to continue to serve our valued customers with expertise and excellence,” Dubey said in a statement provided by the company. “With our strong customer focus and ongoing investment in both expert content and software solutions, we are dedicated to finding innovative ways to help our customers achieve the best outcomes for them and their customers.”
Dubey joined Wolters Kluwer in 2016 as chief strategy officer, where he worked closely with the company’s executive board in leading the development of strategies to drive growth and transformation, with a particular focus on expert solutions.
Before joining Wolters Kluwer, he worked for Standard & Poor’s as managing director and global head of transformation. Earlier, he was with Citigroup, most recently as managing director and chief operating officer of its Securities & Fund Services. He has also worked at Booz Allen Hamilton and Bristol Myers-Squibb.
As head of LRUS, Dubey will focus on new growth opportunities for the business, which includes VitalLaw, the rebranded and expanded version of its former Cheetah legal research platform that the company introduced last October.
“We are delighted to have Atul lead the Legal & Regulatory U.S. business,” said Martin O’Malley, CEO, Wolters Kluwer Legal & Regulatory. “With Atul’s expertise in customer-focused innovation and transformative technologies, he will accelerate our delivery of new value to our customers.”
Moving into Dubey’s former position at Wolters Kluwer is Maria Montenegro, who becomes senior vice president, strategy & innovation.
