Aderant, a provider of business management software to larger law firms, today introduced a product designed to help law firms better allocate work among their associates. 

Called viAllocate, the product helps law firms maximize billable utilization, balance associate workloads, and improve operational efficiency and profitability, Aderant says.

It is designed to address the challenges many firms face in efficiently allocating work among lawyers. Many firms still use manual processes based on insufficient data, which can can result in inefficient utilization and slower processes, not to mention biased assignments and employee burnout.

Aderant says firms can maximize billable utilization by assigning the right people to the right matter at the right time, based on their skills and availability, ensuring that billable time is optimally allocated across the firm.

With viAllocate, Aderant says, law firms can now solve these issues by having the right people on the right matters, at the right time, driving sustained efficiency across the organization.

To help firms optimize inventory, viAllocate provides a modern interface for documenting, submitting and tracking resource requests.

The launch builds on Aderant’s acquisition in 2022 of viGlobal, a leading provider of people-management software to law firms and other professional services firms.

The product allows requesters to compare available based on skills, billable rates, availability, and mother factors.
