Eve, an AI platform for plaintiffs’ law firms, has raised $47 million in Series A funding, in a round led by major venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz (a16z), with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners and Menlo Ventures. The company says the investment will support its rapid market growth and drive its product development and expansion.
Eve’s platform is designed to assist PI firms through every phase of a case, from intake and evaluation, through pre-litigation and discovery. The company describes it as “an intelligent partner” that can help attorneys optimize their productivity.
“At Eve, we’re committed to helping plaintiff law firms punch above their weight, fighting strategically for their clients,” Jay Madheswaran, CEO and co-founder, said in a statement announcing the raise. “Our platform provides firms with the advanced tools they need to improve client outcomes and drive profitability.
“We envision a future where every plaintiff firm operates as fully AI-native, delivering advocacy with unmatched efficiency and precision. This funding brings us one step closer to making that vision a reality, empowering firms to deliver justice more effectively and profitably, reaching more people.”
The company also announced that it is expanding its offerings for PI firms. Firms will now be able to use Eve to create detailed medical chronologies, identify key case risks, and calculate damages. Attorneys will also be able to draft demand letters using firm-specific styles and preferences.
Other features of Eve, according to its website, include:
- Intake and evaluation, allowing firms to identify the best cases for them and create comprehensive case files.
- Pre-litigation, allowing firms to draft demand letters, chronologies, complaints and other documents.
- Litigation, allowing firms to generate discovery requests, respond to discovery requests, analyze depositions, and respond to motions to dismiss.
Over the last eight months, the company says, it has seen 5x revenue growth and signed on more than 80 new law firms, leading to an 800 percent increase in its customer base within a year.
“Eve is reshaping the future of legal work with AI, combining cutting-edge technology, exceptional leadership, and a commitment to delivering real-world impact,” David Haber, general partner at a16z, said in the announcement. “In under a year, the company has made remarkable strides, partnering with some of the most prominent plaintiff law firms in the country. We’re thrilled to support Eve as they help law firms across the U.S. unlock the full potential of AI.”
