LexisNexis Legal & Professional said today that it has launched CaseMap+ AI, a new version of its platform for managing litigation matters and evidence that incorporates generative artificial intelligence to enhance the review of deposition transcripts and documents.
“CaseMap+ AI integrates cutting-edge AI capabilities to empower litigators with efficient tools for organizing, analyzing, communicating, and presenting case information,” the company said in a press release. “The platform introduces a suite of innovative features that significantly streamline the review of deposition transcripts and documents.”
I have not seen CaseMap+ AI, but according to the product’s website, its features include:
- Transcript summarization. Generate summaries of deposition transcripts and interactive lists of topics.
- Document summarization. Summaries of documents automatically populate the document summary field with a brief synopsis of what the document contains.
- Third-party integrations. Integrations with document management platforms such as iManage and e-discovery platforms such as RelativityOne enable a “Send to CaseMap” functionality to easily send documents and their metadata directly to CaseMap+ AI, retaining document tags and coding.
- Auto-creation of timelines. Use AI to construct a case chronology and converting a timeline into a visual aid.
- Issue management. Develop a hierarchy of claims, counterclaims, and any other known arguments.
- Transcript management. Search and find key information from depositions as synced video follows along.
“CaseMap+ AI is set to transform the litigation landscape by providing legal teams with a centralized, AI-powered platform that enhances productivity and collaboration,” Sean Fitzpatrick, CEO of LexisNexis North America, UK, and Ireland, said in a statement. “Our vision is to integrate Protégé, our personalized legal AI assistant, into CaseMap+ AI, enabling users to harness the power of AI to efficiently analyze, strategize, and draft documents.”
CaseMap was originally introduced in 1998. LexisNexis acquired it in 2006 and rolled out the cloud version in 2022.
