Berlin, April 14, 2025 – Berlin-based Legal Tech startup Libra is launching its most comprehensive update to date, leveraging AI to relieve law firms and legal departments of routine tasks, accelerate research, and improve team collaboration. “Libra v2” combines highly developed AI, a modern user interface, and practical tools to set a new standard for efficient and precise work in all legal areas.

“We listened intently to feedback from law firms and in-house teams,” said Viktor von Essen, founder of Libra. “The result is Libra v2: an AI solution that intelligently supports every step of daily legal work – from initial research to final contract review. We want legal experts to be able to fully concentrate on what is essential: excellent legal advice.”

Overview of the new features:

  1. Libra AI: The new heart of Libra utilizes agentic behaviour and reasoning capabilities to interpret requests and automatically take appropriate steps. This includes intelligent web research, access to specialized legal databases, and engaging a “deep-thinking mode” for particularly complex cases. Libra AI also uses “Noxtua,” a large language model specifically developed for the legal industry. This allows the system to deliver precise and relevant answers that meet the high demands of the legal field.
  2. Libra Review: From NDAs to employment contracts to purchase agreements – the review feature significantly speeds up every document review. Pre-made templates or “playbooks” automatically check whether clauses comply with internal standards and where there may be a need for renegotiation. The result: a clear presentation of critical points that saves valuable time and reduces the risk of errors.
3. Team Collaboration & Projects: With “Projects,” Libra creates dedicated areas for different mandates or cases, where documents, assistants, and AI analyses can be bundled. Thanks to secure sharing options, the entire team maintains an overview and can work together on contracts and analyses – ideal for seamless, cross-location collaboration.

“With Libra v2, we are offering a quantum leap in terms of time savings and quality,” said Henrik Volkmann, Director Growth at Libra. “Our platform not only supports lawyers technologically but also enables them to focus more on core tasks such as strategy and client consultation. This is also reflected in the feedback from our customers. And, of course, Libra v2 is fully compliant with GDPR and BRAO, allowing lawyers to work with their documents without redaction and with complete security.”
